    Thanks a lot. It just hit me how lucky I was for the past couple of days. My building swayed from side to side a bit, but I have friends downtown and in BK and queens who still haven’t showered, lost their cell service and are sitting in the darkness in their apartments (with only police lights outside) They can’t quite make it to my place because the transportation is shut down. Also my work is pretty much the lowest and closest to the water building in manhattan downtown by South Ferry station. And it was flooded (basement is under water) so they won’t let us in for at LEAST two weeks. It’s incredible how dependent we are on electric current  :) Anyway, off to bed now, but truly, thank you for showing concern and your well wishes, but I’m probably the luckiest person in nyc (well me and other upper west siders)… Cheers Nick.
